"My Angel"

During the period from October to November 1994, following a period of religious study and devotion, it seemed as if everything was coming up angels in my life.

On the morning of October 27, 1994, I awoke and immediately, perhaps instinctively, arose and raised my head just enough to turn it from my left to my right. There, perhaps three feet away, was a spirit form ) which I will refer to as "my Angel"). It was a transparent form, but with a very distinctive light blue essence, which clearly outlined a form cloaked in the traditional clothing of an elderly woman like you might find in the Greek islands. My Angel was in a kneeling position, in profile to me, and appeared to be gazing at a Bernie Siegel book that I had placed on my nightstand. Although the form was very peaceful and non-threatening, I looked away rather quickly, as I was afraid that it may turn toward me. I then quickly lost consciousness into sleep. It was a peaceful and reassuring event in my life. I took it as a sign to confirm to me that the divine spiritual world coexists with our physical world. I was profoundly affected by this blessed event.

On Memorial Day in 1995, my family and I moved from New Jersey to Virginia. In our new church, there was a woman who dressed in exactly the same way as my Angel. This is not altogether that unusual. However, it surprised me that the unusual shade of blue in my Angel, was almost exactly represented in my new church, in the mosaic icon above the altar area. This was surprising to me, but not totally astonishing.

However, one clincher came on the very first day that I worshipped in this church. As I first sat down, I perceived an inner voice which said to me, "Welcome to your new home!" It was a comforting message. It was curious because we were looking at several churches at the time. We later joined this church even though it is over fifteen miles from our home. The church and community have been a blessing in our life. In fact, this church was the location that The Miracles of God project was launched.

I like to think that these events are all related in some way and that the represent the Glory of God and blessings that I was able to receive.
